Mark Daniel

Mark is a chartered surveyor (RICS) and registered Valuer (NSW) with more than 20 years of experience in the corporate real estate industry. Mark focuses on advising large Australian organisations on both the development and implementation of real estate strategies, feasibilities, transactions and property management systems.

Mark is a founding Director of Property Beyond. Previously he worked within a number of multi-national corporations with responsibility for transactions and portfolio management across Europe, Asia Pacific and North America. Prior to Property Beyond, Mark was responsible for the management of NCR’s Asia Pacific Real Estate portfolio (including Japan and Australasia) based in Sydney.

Rodney Timm
Director
Rodney has been involved in the real estate and construction industries for over 30 years. He has had extensive experience in portfolio, property and facilities management, agency, valuation and development, and he has provided advice to fund managers, government agencies and the corporate real estate sector. His sector specific property knowledge includes commercial offices, business parks, retail and shopping malls, affordable housing, student and key-worker accommodation, retirement villages, assisted living, life-style projects, education facilities and community complexes.

Rodney’s key focus areas include portfolio strategy and planning, functional reviews to improve processes and cost saving, asset life-cycle analysis and whole-of-life costs as well as the implementation of outsourcing arrangements. Rodney is also involved in leading executive development programs in various Corporate Real Estate disciplines and is the property columnist for the Facilities Management magazine. Before setting up Property Beyond, Rodney led the Andersen and Ernst Young Real Estate Advisory group in Sydney after immigrating to Australia in 1994.

Simon Hayes
Director
Simon has over 20 years experience in the real estate industry and focuses on providing advice and transactions services that reduce the costs and increase the commercial returns of property. He has had extensive experience in the strategic planning of portfolios, undertaking feasibilities, preparing business cases and managing transactions for private and government clients.

Before joining Property Beyond, Simon worked as Chief Operating Officer and Company Secretary of an ASX listed property company where his responsibilities included the strategic planning and asset management of commercial and retail property worth over $500m. He has also practiced as a solicitor specialising in property, development and environmental law.

Marcel van Schie
Director
Marcel has more than 25 years experience in the construction industry. He specialises in design advice and project management support to clients wishing to undertake all forms of commercial and industrial construction or refurbishment. He focuses on ensuring clients’ needs are defined, risks minimised and the desired results are achieved.

Marcel’s experiences span from small $50k fit out/churn works through to $75m+ projects. He has delivered a range of projects in industry sectors including commercial offices, warehousing, manufacturing (including brewing), hospitality, medical/pharmaceutical and the government. Marcel has recently managed the delivery of commercial fit-out works, workplace renovations and re-fits, complex make good works, maintenance works and planning /licensing advisory for a variety of private and public clients in the various capital cities of Australia.

Mona Liban

With eight years’ experience in the commercial property sector acting as Commercial and Retail Property Manager specialist, an Asset Manager and Business Development professional, Mona Liban has a strong understanding of complex property portfolios and currently has had direct responsibility across many areas. These include freehold titles, lease and licences within national Commercial, Hotel, Residential, Retail and Industrial properties across Australia. Mona also has extensive knowledge in Victorian legislation including Retail Tenancies, Residential Tenancies, Owners Corporation and Land Transfer acts as well as their interstate equivalents. In recent years, Mona’s focus has been training and developing commercial portfolio managers, managing tenant transactions, maximising revenue opportunities and connecting teams and key stakeholders.
Chris Tedder
Associate
Chris has extensive experience in market and asset analysis, used to identify potentially profitable and actionable investment options within a diversified portfolio of assets, including in-depth financial modelling and analysis. He also has experience in developing business cases, strategic planning and transaction management.

Before joining Property Beyond Chris worked at GAIN Capital as a senior market strategist and research analyst, proving in-depth and actionable analysis to clients across numerous asset classes. He was a regular contributor to a number of leading business TV and print media outlets.

Roberto Atrash
Associate
Roberto’s focus in his career has been on external financial and operational analytics, performance improvement, statutory risk analysis and reporting. As an associate at Property Beyond, he leads and supports projects requiring financial acumen, research analytics and business process improvement in Transaction, Service Delivery and Portfolio Rationalisation Projects.   Prior to joining Property Beyond, Roberto worked at Deloitte in the Audit team. His specific skills include accounting, functional and quantitative analysis, financial modelling and valuations. Qualifications include Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from The University of Notre Dame, Australia and CA ANZ from the Chartered Accountant, Australia and New Zealand.
Hannah Butt
Associate
Hannah is a Chartered Accountant from New Zealand and has spent the past five years working in finance roles within NZX listed companies. Her career to date has focused on external financial reporting, management accounting and external audit. As an associate at Property Beyond, she leads and supports projects in Transaction Analysis, Transaction Management and Portfolio Accommodation Planning Projects. Prior to joining Property Beyond, Hannah was responsible for the financial reporting, analysis and treasury management of a portfolio of New Zealand property syndicates owned by retail and wholesale investors. She has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and Bachelor of Property from The University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Dean  Tyler
Associate
Dean has over 15 years’ experience working in the Construction Industry as a Services Consultant and Project Manager. He is client focussed and provides a high level of service. Dean has spent the majority of his career working on Commercial office projects, ranging from minor churn to full building fitouts. Dean has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree from Queensland University of Technology and is partway through the Diploma in Project Management.
James Cuthbert
Associate
James spent most of his career in the United Kingdom where he worked for a number of public and private sector companies. He has joined the PB team in August and brings with him over 10 years of industry experience, a comprehensive understanding of real estate and specialises in development site valuations, rent review/leasehold negotiations and valuations, compulsory acquisitions and disposals, as well leasehold and freehold negotiations.
Harry Hyslop
Analyst
Harry is an analyst who works in close consultation with the directors of Property Beyond providing advice and transactions services to clients occupying commercial and industrial properties including ASX listed corporations and governments.

He has experience in preparing businesses cases and facilities plans, the strategic planning of properties and portfolios, undertaking financial and feasibility analysis relating to office space and operating assets.

Before joining Property Beyond Harry worked at Larosa & Hardman Chartered Accountants providing financial and tax accounting as well as advising a diverse range of clients including individuals, companies, trusts and self-managed superannuation funds.
